Lubbock Regional MHMR Center Deploys Four Employees
to Assist in San Antonio Shelter

September 19, 2008

In response to a plea for assistance from Leon Evans the Chief Executive Officer of the San Antonio (Bexar County) MHMR Center, Lubbock Regional MHMR Center is sending four (4) employees to assist in shelters set up to house people displaced by Hurricane Ike.

Dear Friends, I'm writing to ask you, for any help you might be able to free up/donate to our region’s effort to help those who have been displaced by Ike. There are currently 9,000 persons, with more on the way, being housed in shelters in San Antonio.
Our staff has done an incredible job providing comfort and professional care, but need rest and help.
Your consideration and any help would be greatly appreciated! Leon Evans

In the morning, Lubbock Regional MHMR Center will deploy four (4) of our leaders who have volunteered to assist with psychological first aid during a one week mission. The team composed of Angelo Garcia, Nigel Torres and Carson Scott will be led by Terry Mceldowney.

We are very proud of these four (4) men as they represent the heart and spirit of our Lubbock Community!
