Lubbock Regional MHMR Awarded Accreditation from CARF

March 5, 2004

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recently announced that the Methadone Program of Lubbock Regional MHMR Center has been accredited for a period of three years.  The Lubbock Regional MHMR Center’s Methadone Program offers a variety of services including: counseling, rehabilitation and education to people who have an addiction to opiates.

This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization.  An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through an extensive review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its program and services are of high quality.

CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of people served.  CARF establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
