Lubbock Regional MHMR Center, in partnership with the Lubbock chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) is hosting a Community Forum to address violence and mental illness, as well as recent changes in public policy regarding mental health services.

Joe Lovelace, President of the Texas Alliance for the Mentally Ill (TEXAMI) will moderate a panel of experts, as they provide information to and answer questions from community members. 

Panel members include:  

•     Dru Farmer, Lubbock County Judge
•     Mary Gerlach, Sunrise Canyon Hospital Administrator
•     David Gibson, O.D., President of the Lubbock chapter of NAMI
•     Arun Patel, M.D., Psychiatrist
•     Paul Scarborough, Chief Deputy, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office
•     Brian Shannon, TTU School of Law Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and
      Lubbock Regional MHMR Center Board Member
•     Bill Sowder, District Attorney
•     Eugene Wang, Ph.D., Expert in the Study of Violence
