What is abuse and neglect?
Abuse and neglect is defined as any
action, failure to act or incitement to act that causes or could
cause physical or emotional harm to a consumer.
How do I report abuse and neglect?
If an individual wishes to make a report regarding either
abuse or neglect of a person receiving services, call the Texas
of Family and Protective Services as soon as possible.
If a consumer has a complaint or comment about
their services, who can they contact?
The Consumer Relations office takes comments and concerns from
individuals (both positive and negative) about the people, places
and services StarCare and its network of providers offer. We make site visits,
home visits, and conduct confidential surveys. The Consumer Relations
Representative will work with persons to see that their concerns are
resolved to their satisfaction. This individual will also provide support
in appealing a treatment decision, should that support be requested.
