| Lubbock Regional MHMR Center's Public Employee of the year is Mary V. Mitchell  Mary is a caring person with a heart the size of Texas!! She has worked with Lubbock Regional MHMR Center for 18 years, where she has served in several areas, including employment services, homeless services, behavioral health and aging and disability services. She currently works as a Service Coordinator in the Aging and Disabilities Services Division.
Mary not only touches people through her work, her caring heart extends into the community at large. She is a member of First Progressive Baptist Church where she has served in several roles, including President of the "The Mission" and has been very involved in the leadership of their youth group. As if all that wasn't enough, Mary's service isn't complete when her work day is over. She is raising a nephew as well as two foster children. Mary believes in elevating people's spirit and enhancing their lives. She is truly a Caring Texan on and off the clock! |
