The Advocate of the second quarter of fiscal year 2004 is Les Beauchamp. Les has been employed in many different areas of our Center and makes an impact wherever he works. With quiet dignity he models, to staff and consumers alike, the way people should be treated. He makes a great effort to educate the community about issues people face who deal with mental illness or substance abuse and provides invaluable information to new employees to get them started on the right foot when providing services to our consumers. Les participates in many activities that focus on removing the stigma attached to mental illness and substance abuse and always speaks out on behalf of people who struggle to manage the symptoms of their illness. |
