 The Advocate of the second quarter of fiscal year 2003 is Renee Borges.
After the mother of one of her consumers died unexpectedly, Renee advocated for that child to be able to remain with her grandmother, recognizing the need for a child to have a family. She linked the grandmother with support systems so she would be able to care for a special needs child. Renee continues to advocate for this child with other agencies and programs to ensure that she spends her childhood with a loving grandmother rather than in foster care. She is a true advocate and we are proud to recognize her efforts. |
